After a long day out on one of South Florida’s beautiful beaches, you may find yourself famished. Lucky for you, it’s only a short drive to some of the finest dining on the planet. If I had had any idea that it was going to taste this good, I would have! Only South Florida can take a burrito that everyone is already used to and make it even more original. Initially, there are two different kinds of rice. These consist of brown rice and yellow rice. The first time I ever tried the yellow rice in South Florida, I knew there was no turning back. That’s what I opted for on my burrito, but I hear that brown rice is quite delicious too!

After your grain, you’ll want to delve into protein. There’s steak, chicken, chicken breast, and pork. The steak is organic and delicious. All choices are good ones! If you’re a vegetarian, there’s a beans and guacamole substitute, or black bean hummus.

The next thing that the original burrito calls for is some veggies! A must-have on the original is the lettuce. South Florida’s lettuce is never anything but fresh and crisp!

The really wonderful thing about Florida is that it never fails in freshness. Its ingredients are always prepared fresh every day, and you can really tell in every bite. Their tomatoes are no exception, and that’s what you’ll want to put next on the delicious original burrito.

On top of all that, you’re going to want to add diced green onions. These onions are ridiculously good. They add a flavor that would really be missed in the original burrito!

When deciding on a sauce to bring your burrito together, you usually have to be very careful. In South Florida, you can count on almost any sauce to compliment your burrito, I’m sure of it! The one suggested for the original is the curry mustard, man was it delicious.

I could not believe the size of my burrito after it was all done. I was more than happy to pay the money I did for it. Honestly, they could have asked for way more!

As far as wraps go, South Florida dining really does it best. If you’ve ever experienced the original burrito or any of the other recipe burrito they have to offer, then you already know what I’m talking about. I can’t wait to go back!

What is considered a great pizza whether its takeaway pizza or homemade is really a matter of preference, but here are some tips on how to make your own:

First things first you have to make your dough, the measurements for ingredients can vary, but the basic ingredients usually stay the same. Basic Pizza dough ingredients are yeast, flour, sugar, salt, hot water and oil. Kneading the dough is important. It’s not just about mixing the ingredients together, but about preparing the dough to rise, it should be kneaded until entirely smooth. With the dough made pop it in a warm spot for about an hour and let it rise.

Ensure you pre-heat the oven so it’s nice and hot, an hour or so should do it. The oven should be at least 425 degrees F. The crust has to bake and brown very quickly. If the oven is not hot enough it won’t get all the moisture out of the crust, and it’ll end up being all soggy.

The best pizzas come out of wood-burning, clay-lined ovens. But for most of us, it is not possible to have such an oven in our home. So, for the home cook, the next best thing is to use a pizza stone. You can buy clay stones specifically designed for pizzas, or you can get unglazed floor or quarry tiles at your local home improvement store. Pizza stones come in round or rectangular shapes. If you find tiles that are rather small, you can set several next to each other to make a larger surface.

Once the dough has risen to need to roll out your crust whichever style you are going for you should always try to roll from the middle. For an average 12″ pizza, about 1/2 cup of sauce is plenty. A cup of vegetables and meats, and 1 to 1-1/2 cups of cheese will make a good thin crust pizza.

Although fun and fairly easy to make sometimes it might be easier just to get a pizza delivery, you might not get that homemade taste or warm fuzzy when you sit down to eat it, but at least it does save on the washing up.
