  1. I’m new to gluten-free eating and want to create a diet for myself based on natural, whole foods such as veggies and lean meats. I am not looking to include all sorts of processed, specially-made gluten-free crackers, cookies, breads, etc. in my diet. This book provides the guidance for doing just that. It is helping me understand how food affects the body and which foods I should be eating and when. I love the sample menus–they are so easy to follow! I really like how this book provides concrete ideas for meal plans instead of just listing a bunch of safe/unsafe foods out of context.

If you are truly interested in eating less processed, packaged foods and focusing more on real foods, you’ll love this book. I highly recommend it.

  2. As a 4 year recovering celiac, I’m always looking for ways to improve my health since my diagnosis. This book provides healthy recipes and insight as to how the immune system works. Weight control is always a concern on a gluten-free diet and most processed foods have a tendency to be high calorie and heavily starched. These authors provide easy to fix recipes to fuel your body and taste good all at the same time!

  3. If you want to nourish your body, feel better about what you are eating, and have some really great food – buy this book!!!!!!

I bought this book because I loved (LOVED!!!) every recipe in Annalise Roberts Gluten Free Baking Classics and Gluten Free Baking Classics for the Bread Machine. I have never had a dud. Each recipe is meticulously tested. I have also had great experience with recipes from her website [...]

So, naturally, I wondered what types of food such a great cook is making to nourish herself and her family. All of the recipes I have tried from The Gluten-Free Good Health Cookbook have been outstanding. This is a great book to find new recipes that you will put into your regular rotation. All of the recipes are accessible. If you want to make good food that is good for you, this is the book for you. If you want to stop feeling bad about eating bad processed food that is making you feel bad, this is the book for you. If you are weary from eating toxins and chemicals disguised as food, buy the book and learn how to take better care of yourself by eating better.

  4. I’m a healthy eater and cook. I have been trying to remove wheat and gluten from my diet. I found this book to be a great introduction to changing my cooking and eating habits. I find the recipes to be easy and tasty, but what I like the most is that the book has shown me ways to substitute certain ingredients in my everyday cooking. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking for simple ways to a healthier diet.

  5. Marie says:

There are many good topics covered in this book on being Gluten Free. I like that it is not just about breads. The down side for me was that I have to modify most everything because it has dairy in it. I don’t consider dairy to be health. I would buy it again just for some of the topics that where covered.
