  1. J. Deligatti says:

I bought this slow cooker since I recently got married and my hubby likes food cooked in a slow coker. I have a one quart that worked for me and Mom but it’s way to small, so I needed a bigger one. I am quite happy with it and it’s cooking right now! I also order the *Not Your Mother’s Slow Cooker* cookbook and together, I’ll be doing some excelent meals!

  2. T. Hood says:

While this cookbook has some interesting recipes, it is really lacking on the nutritional information of the recipes. Calories per serving, fat grams, fiber, nothing… Dieters beware.
    Rating: 2 / 5

  3. A Reader says:

The “not your mother’s” part of this book is that all the recipes involve some kind of weird liquor that you probably don’t have in the house. Other than that, the recipes are fairly bland.

I bought this thinking I would like it and I didn’t find anything in it worth cooking….

My husband and I agree this book is lacking in the recipe department. There are lots of good tips, but not enough “normal” cooking recipes to rate it above average. How about a plain ol’ pork sholder? Nope.
